Holiday Attractions in Kansas City
As we are in the midst of the holiday season, do not forget to explore the attractions in your own city! Kansas City has many fun seasonal attractions and events to get you into the holiday spirit.
88th Annual Plaza Lights: For seven weeks during the winter, the Plaza displays miles and miles of holiday lights on the many buildings throughout the district. The lights will be up until January 16.
Winterfest: Celebrate the holidays at the Worlds of Fun Winterfest with live shows, ice skating, cookies decorating, classic park attractions and thousands of sparkling lights. Winterfest takes place on select days until December 30.
Crown Center Ice Terrace: Show off your skating skills at Kansas City’s only public outdoor ice rink. Crown Center Ice Terrace will be open through February.
A Charlie Brown Christmas at The Coterie Theatre: Enjoy the traditional story of A Charlie Brown Christmas with a live jazz trio playing the original Vince Guaraldi arrangements. The show runs until December 31.
New Year’s Swingin’ Eve: Celebrate the New Year at Union Station with live music, party favors, drinks, appetizers and a midnight champagne toast. The night features award-winning Dave Stephens and the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra.
