America’s Independence Day brings an abundance of exciting and fun events in Kansas City! Be sure to mark your calendars with some of Visitkc.com activities listed below.
Red, White and Zoo: Visit the Kansas City Zoo this July for the adventure you and your family will love. In honor of Independence Day, all active and retired military personnel will receive FREE Zoo admission on Saturday, June 30th, Saturday, July 1st and Wednesday, July 4th.
Royals Games: The Cleveland Indians come to town on July 4th, and what better way is there to spend your Independence Day with family. Head on out to Kauffman Stadium for a great time! The Royals have 12 home games in the month of July.
The Original River Market Walking Tour: Take a stroll through the beautiful River Market Neighborhood and hear about the city’s beginnings, history over time and present day. The beautiful view of the Missouri River and the incredible stories make this tour a Kansas City “must-do.” The tour runs every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Dinosaurs Revealed: Located at Union Station, travel back in time to when Dinosaurs ruled the earth. Come face-to-face with 26 life-sized dinosaurs. Reoccurring daily, this journey is fun for the entire family and for all ages.
