about richard & conover lofts Constructed in the early 1900s as part of a multi-block warehouse comples, this building served as a distribution center for the Richards & Conover Hardware Company. The heavy timber warehouse most recently was occupied by a restaurant fixture company, and came to be known by Kansas City locals as the "Jax" building. The Taylor family operated the fixture business from the mid-1940s until its conversion to residentila lofts in 2000. |
